How Would You Answer These Questions?

September 30, 2008
  • Will your savings last as long as you do?
What are your chances of needing long term care and how will you pay for it?
  • Will you have enough to retire when you are ready?
  • Do you know how to lower your taxes?
  • If you are married, are you and your spouse on the same page when it comes to your current finances and/or your future retirement?

These are very relevant questions to ask yourself. In today’s world, we really need to take control of our future. In our grandfather’s day, we worked at the same place for 40 years and then retired to collect our hard-earned pensions and our government-provided social security benefits. There really wasn’t much to think about in terms of retirement. Unfortunately, that is not the case today. We are moving from job-to-job (whether we want to or not) several times during our adulthood, few of us our getting any kind of pension, and our social security benefits may be minimal or non-existent in the foreseeable future. This is not your father’s retirement!

We now must self-fund our own retirements. This can actually be a good thing if you take control of your finances today. We urge you not to wait until there is little time for your money to compound. Remember the old adage, “it takes time to make money.” Start preparing for you financial future. One way to do so is to educate yourself; to acquire the knowledge needed to adequately prepare for whatever happens in the markets. Most of you have taken one of our seminars, and we applaud you for it. How about empowering a friend or family member by recommending the following seminars and giving them the following schedule?
