Fireside Chats

October 1, 2009

We had a great turnout for our recent Fireside Chats. When we held our first Chats, we were in the midst of bank failures, Wall Street scandal and the housing mortgage fiasco. It took a lot of courage to get up in front of you, our clients, and "tell it like it is." We could have hidden ourselves away, but that is neither who we are nor who you want to manage your finances.

We want to be transparent at all times and available to answer your questions. As you know, CB3 stands for Capital Building 3 ways: "Education, Planning and Asset Management." We strongly believe in providing the education that is necessary for you to be kept out of the dark. With so many different opinions being tossed about in the various media, we wanted to keep you informed with truth and not just hearsay. We think we have accomplished this.

Now that the markets seem to be improving, please remember that we are still here to educate and help you with your asset management. If you think that we have provided you with the service you deserve during those rough economic times, please recommend us to your friends and family. We truly believe they could benefit from having us on their side.

Speaking in Dayton, OH.

On September 9th and 10th, Charlie spoke to clients of a broker/dealer who had asked him to present his Fireside Chats. The groups were lively yet very concerned about the State of the Economy as well as other topics covered in the Fireside Chat. It was quite interesting to observe the differences that geography has to play in the discussion afterwards. Their questions mostly centered around the economy as it pertained to the individual investor whereas our Illinois Chats questions focus on how it pertains to the general population.

Charlie and Alice had a wonderful experience getting to meet the attendees, the firm's personnel, and to learn other opinions and observations viewed by those attending the Dayton Fireside Chats.
